The state of emergency in Amhara Region restricts preparation of learning events and gatherings. The instability and conflict situation was a hindering factor for undertaking events and media dialogue by mobilizing trainees from one region to another. For this reason, WCAT organized in house learning sessions among stakeholders and project staff members. The main objective of the event was to discuss administrative, financial and management issues for smoothening the work between the head office and field office.
In the three days linking and learning event from 22-24 June 2024, discussion was undertaken at Bahir Dar City with four coordination offices of the staff members of WCAT on planning, reporting, administrative, programmme, finance issues, and policies issues. Total of 24 staff members could participate in the meeting. Donor compliance, Risk management processes and mitigation strategies in projects and programmes were dealt among the trainees. Besides, training on ICT (Web site introduction, Photo and video capturing, consent form) was given by Information and Communication Officer of WCAT with the purpose of enhancing promotion capacity by project staff members. This training was aimed at capacitating them and enhancing their performance on program, finance and management accomplishments in projects and programs. To summarize, the learning session is paramount important for enhancing staff capacity and improve organizational performances.
