WCAT Active Projects
WCAT has been implementing its projects in Amhara and Oromia Regional states and Addis Ababa City Government. Currently, WCAT is actively operating in the Amhara region in Bahir Dar City and the South Gondar administrative zone.

WCAT Major Results
Education thematic area
- Improved access to quality basic education for children in remote areas.
- mobilize the community to send children to school.
- Strengthened in-school clubs with capacity and materials.
- constructed 41 primary schools with toilets and sanitation facilities.

Health thematic area
- Accessed young children with Sexual Reproductive health information and education
- Trained school teachers in 44 schools with reproductive health components
- Empowered children with life skills education to improve their bargaining power
- strengthened 2 target schools and 1 youth center with ICT based CSE
Livelihood and Child Development program
- Vulnerable children protected from poverty, hunger and ignorance
- ensured sustainable food and nutrition security for vulnerable children and women.
- Self-help groups and cooperatives established and strengthened to empower families
- Community based alternative child care services provided
WaSH services
- Increased access to WaSH services for 20,000 people in its target areas
- constructed potable water, toilets and hand washing facilities in more than 25 target schools.
- Personal and environmental hygiene and sanitation behaviour of the targets improved
Social Accountability Program
- Improved service delivery for the vulnerable and marginalized groups of the community in pro-poor sectors.
- Over 28,000 people were sensitized on social accountability concepts and principles in 7 target kebeles.
- 7 Social accountability clubs established and strengthened
- Citizens and service providers established
- Customers’ forum and sectors become gender responsive in budgeting.
