The board of directors of Wabe Children’s Aid and Training (WCAT) in collaboration with the management team conducted its 3rd quarter meeting on 19 October 2024 at its head office in Addis Ababa. The board discussed the following major agendas:-
- WCAT’’s Website Familiarization
- Organization of Acknowledgment day for WCAT’s partners and stakeholders
- Acknowledgment of Dr. Mintesenot Sahlu for his financial and technical contribution for the website
Firstly, the founder and executive director of WCAT introduced the main objective of the meeting and invited the board chair person, Mr. Tesfaye Dessie, to chair the meeting. Accordingly, the Information and Communication officer of WCAT briefed the main contents of the website. The board members appreciated the efforts of the management team to promote its achievements through website and social media. The board noted to the management to regularly update and create platforms for additional resource mobilization and fund raising.
Next, the board discussed on the importance of organizing acknowledgment day aiming at thanking all individuals, stakeholders and donors who contributed so far and initiate potential supporters for the enhancement of the capacity of the organization. The board gave directions to the management to work on the Terms of Reference and organize the event in April 2025.
Thirdly, the board acknowledged Dr. Mintesenot Sahlu for his contributions in supporting the organization to promote its achievements through website and social media by assigning IT professional and project management personnel. Consequently, the board chairperson handed over acknowledgement certificate for Dr. Mintesenot and appreciated his commitment in supporting WCAT by following his father’s footsteps. Finally, Dr. Mintesenot encouraged WCAT to maximize its development interventions using the developed website.
